By buzz
This cam works great.
Being able to use a remote is way better than only being able to use software that eats up valuable screen space like the Orbit AF.
The speaker and mic are superb.
The auto focus works much better than the Orbit AF.
I removed one star because the software does not fully work with skype to its fullest.
The cam will not fully zoom in with skype.
Also the buttons for answering calls and ending them wont work with skype. It is nice to have a remote but now you can not pan or zoom or adjust the focus with software at all.
I wish logitech had just added features instead of removing them for a new control style.
The cam is good but the software needs to be finished, it lacks all the controls needed. It is very easy to use but should be able to have more options to customize it if wanted.
A suggestion.
Build a bluetooth adapter into the cam base and sell it with a bluetooth headset. I am using my Bose bluetooth headset with this and its just awesome. Perfect pic with perfect sound.

By Geek Queen
We use ooVoo a lot at our university. The problem has been with conferences you have to find a good mic/web cam and a good speaker and get them all to work together. Now Logitech has put all you need for a good video conference into one piece of equipment. This web conference cam is a very solid product. You simply plug it into the wall for power and plug it into a USB port on your computer. No downloads. Works with PC and Mac.
It has controls on the base and in the remote control. The remote control, once you get used to it, works very well as does the camera and mike. Please note, this is a great video presence tool for small groups (3-4). The web cam and the speaker are not great for a large group. If you want that kind of video presence you will have to spend more money. I say this because if you have a long conference table the mic doesn't pick up soft voices at the end of the table and the web camera does not have a wide enough view for 8 people sitting in a long row.
Having said that I strongly recommend this Conference Cam. I will be using it for lectures (web cam just on me) and small group conferences. Nice job Logitech!
Parting thought: do not blame it on the web conference cam if your picture/voice goes in and out. Chances are you have not plugged into the net. All video presence works better when you plug in to the net rather than just use wireless. If the meeting is important do not bank your next job interview or sales call on wireless.

By Raymond French
Ordered this for another use (didn't quite fulfill that use) but would be great for a small office to use as a teleconference device. So much that could be done with it to plan, swap notes and save the travel expenses. Currently out of the office seen but I can see so many ways we could have used this it's so much more than a phone call because you can see faces and know more about what's being said.
