4Works great with Vera2, but doing so seems to limit it also
By P. Kim
This web cam doesn't have the highest resolution or the most extensive features, nor is it the cheapest. It does, however, work well with my Vera2, although connecting it seems to take away any inherent motion sensing capabilities that most web cams have.

Setting it up with the Vera2 can be a little odd - first of all, the photocopied instructions that came with it don't fully apply to the Vera2 setup. You need to go online to get those instructions. Second, the Vera2 runs its own WiFi network. However, I had to plug this camera first into my router, get the IP address, plug that into the Vera2 and then let it go wireless. It connects directly to the Vera2's WiFi, not via your native network. A little confusing and I certainly am open to the suggestion that it was user error.

Nevertheless, it now takes pictures every 15 minutes and every four seconds when my z-wave motion sensor goes off.

4works well, image quality could be better
By G. Ritchie
Does the job as advertised, puts a link to a live image on my mios (mi casa verde) web page. I'm using the wi-fi (wireless) link between the camera and my Apple airport extreme router, and that works surprisingly well. The camera is 70 feet from the router and appears to have plenty of signal strength. The camera is capable of 640x480 pixel live video resolution and one can set it to give that display when accessing the camera directly over the local network. However the mios software appears to only support a 320x240 view - so that is all you are going to get when viewing the camera remotely over the internet using the mios web page. One could bypass the mios software altogether and use a remote networking product such as the free one at logmein.com, and that would allow viewing the full resolution image remotely over the internet. I have the camera watching the front yard and sidewalk of my house, and it produces a usable image day and night. The street lamp is adequate illumination for night viewing; I did change the configuration of the camera to the low illumination setting and that appears to work OK in full sunlight as well as at night.

Another thing that could be better is the swivel mount. It doesn't allow for a very wide range of pointing angles, and it was tricky to set up the camera so that it would get the image framed the way I wanted.

4Working pretty good BUT...
By J Redmond Power
First let me say it is installed and working - we keep tabs on our vacation home 75 miles away and for that is perfect. HOWEVER, Installation was just a little more difficult than they tell you; the included instructions are old and confused me. I got it synced with the wired installation but cannot get the wireless setup to work. It also requires a wired connection to electricity, which is a drawback. ONE BIG QUESTION - the configuration page for the camera denotes motion-detection capability, with provision for email notification but I cannot seem to get that to work. Clicking the "test" button for this feature did send me an email, but motion itself failed to trigger the email. Anyone got any ideas?
